blue shark off youghal

just seen this clip on youtube of blue shark getting caught off youghal...
it looks like they are not too far from shore in that video... i thought you had to go
further out...
anyone on here fish their small boats for them?

Blues are a popular target from here on... Guys have been chasing them in small boats for donkeys.
In peak season they will be close in. Most skippers will head out a bit though...to be sure...to be sure.

Last October went out of Dunmore on charter.
Traveled a fair bit from Dunmore but surprisingly not that far from shore.
Great day - at one stage we had 3 on at once...somewhat organised chaos...
Hooked 6, landed and released 5.
