plan was to hit kerry for 4 days insearch of the silver lads,bass.. i myself was after them also with a bit of a species hunt thrown in... fishing was very poor for the first three days ontill we ended up on fenit pier... although we had a good laugh all the way ,, we hit the pier and seen a couple of lads filling buckets of mackeral from the pier, so we gave it ago for some nice fresh mack... the three was us looked at each other and said what the hell are we doing we could not get a mack between us and still everyone else was.. one of the lads said here have some mack with i did.. fresh mack strip on and out it went.. 15 seconds later bang over the rod went.. got stuck into itand knew it was a ray but it was not what i expected when it broke the surface... it was a bin lid... it was to big to haul up the pier so i had to walk it down the pier which stef climb down and landed it for me... arms where tired at the stage ,, put the scales on it and came in at 10pound 8oz...undulate ray..... that was the only ray taken but from 10am to 8pm we had ray,grey gunnard,flounder,sandab,mack after awhile,,, weavers, pollock... doggies,

Nice Ray there,,Fenit can throw up some nice fish now and then.
was watching some lads catching squid off Fenit last September,,fine big squid.

Nice Undulate , there are a lot of them about in the bay at the moment I was there three weeks ago and had seven Undulates and four stingers in three sessions from beach marks both north and south of the bay. There must be a knack for catching Mackerel on the pier as we coulnt catch any when we were there either!.

nice ray ,i,ve fished fenit a few times in daylight it a feast or a famine had spider crabs as big as footballs at night and my neice is a dab hand at the stingers off it too she doesnt really like em she says they are violent fish
