I would be even more excited if the weather and tides were better. North westerlies will kill the surf here in Cork, combined with week tides its not looking good. I have been trying for ages to get my friends to come down from Dublin and come out for a spot of fishing with me. Out of the blue a mate says he'll pop down and go out fishing with me on the wknd. Cool I thought, Bass season back open, we'll try for one or two, cool until now when I checked the tides and weather :( I'll be out on sat anyway either way and hoping to get my mate his first silver fella.

I caught 4 lb bass last week :) Really didnt think i have to wait till 16th of june :D
Got a very good feeling, also caught couple flounders which i took home.
If most anglers here dont take bass home, i dont get this huge excitement about the date

I Cant wait, i've been playing with Wrasse on small plastic's which is a great Craic!!!!...
But come Saturday i will be chucking everything at them from again the soft plastic's,
Sub-surface lure's,Dexter wedge's ect....and then i might even use bait, but it's so much
better getting a hit on a spinning rod and playing the fish, then take a quick photo or two
and then return her/him from where they came and then cast again and then wait for the
next take!!!!!

I'm shaking and all twitchy thinking about it!!!!!

Tightlines to you all!!!!

Dober, you are such a nob!!!...

I think he follows treads just to hijack them so he can brag about poaching....

On topic, the weather is ment to be beautiful for sunday and with midnight tides on the east coast I think I shall be hitting the hounds, maybe even a tope ( fishing god willing)!!
