My nephew has been shown a keen intersest in fishing this past while so i promised him i would take him for a fishing trip.
The excitement was rolling out of him ringing me all day tuesday, asking me when or we going when r we goin.
Me and the bro lifted him about 6 pm and headed over to donegal, we had two marks in mind 1 a beach and the other a rock mark we arrived and got set up i showed daryl how to set up and bait up rigs, i couldnt believe how quick he picked it up, after his third cast he didnt need know assistance.
i picked up a thornback on my 2nd cast was about the 5lb mark and my nephew couldnt believe his eyes after seeing the thornback he didnt say im going to catch 1 but said im going to catch 1 bigger than urs.
talk about confidennceafter a while my nephew was getting bites but they wernt taking the hook, neil had 2 dogs, and i hit a fresh water eel, then a conger eel so i got 2 of my wish list in 1 night, then daryl hit a dogfish
the next day we got the feathers and started jigging for fresh mack, neil hit 5 and sadly i didnt manage any.
so we hit the next mark with neil gettin 2 ray and daryl caught his first evr ray plus another 1 he was on cloud 9 u ought to see him jumping around with excitement we weighed the rays and the biggest coming in at 6lb 5 0z, sadly i didnt catch my pb but who cares i was just glad to see my nephew catchin his first ray
it was a real good long session and great fishing and to end it all off i have another member to the team as my nephew is hooked wondering when the next time were going.
