i know that feeling well,i fished the bay one day and tried every thing to avoid the ray but couldn't get past them to get another species, was using size 6 hooks with tiny baits to try for flats but landed a 7.5lb ray
if you are fishing by the boat club again, tides of 4.2m or higher are better and if it rains before the bites will die off fast as soon as the tide starts dropping, contact me before hand and i will let you know what the weather conditions were like
