The bib WILL break. Be it off a rock or while unhooking a fish.....but it will break.

Graham Hill talks about filing the bib of the zonk if it is of any interest to you.

I wouldnt be attempting this with a €25 odd lure....

Many have tried this and found that it rendered the lure useless as they filed it down too far. The bib is fragile enough without making any further changes to it.

Ive gone through a few over the years some last longer than others but they all will eventual break through no fault of your own.

They are a great fish catching lure for bass pollack and Ive even had wrasse on it. Just be mindful around rocks and shallow water. Also be careful while unhooking fish on rocks as fish flapping around have broken a few of mine.
