People:just me

Duration:4 hours

Tide:2 hours in and out

Weather:lovely

Bait:fresh crab and lug

Rigs:pulley

Results:not a bite




Report:I was reading in the reports that the hounds were been caught on the north side so I give ringsend a go there was also a few lads down there has well and the same for them not a bite better luck next time :wink:

not sure wath part you where fishing but yes there is fish down there,

They are there, they seem to be getting caught during the day tides on the drop.....

19 were caught 2 days ago and it was on the drop at 5 in the eve,

i did not say there was no fish i just said no bites and i have fish in same spot before and got them and as i said i was not the only 1 there fishing and for some 1 who lives beside the beach and is for ever going to cork and kerry and blanks :roll:

Go down during the day, we have hit it 5 times at night and nothing, not even a flounder. But I know a few who are catching during the day!

anywere from the start upto the half moon you will get fish

There was lads at half moon and then they moved if the conditions are not right the fish won't feed I have heard that the east winds are not the best but I gave it a go, I am only in the fishing game 3 years and I have a lot to learn :wink:

Hard luck man!! I have not had much joy down there myself... The night tides have been productive
in the past for me and my mates!!

Bass (biggest so far 10.5 lbs) Thornback ray (12.5lbs) Painted ray (4.5lbs) Pollock (5lbs) Whiting,Dab,flounder,Mackerel (by the bucket load) Bearded rockling,Codling.

Hounds and mad people trying take your head off with Macky feathers. It can get pretty hectic there with the bashers walking up and down casting over you and on you.
Species 2011:coalie,whiting, 5bearded rockling,shore rockling, doggie, pollock,flounder,codling,dab,smoothhound,sea scorpion,ballan wrasse,Tope, tub gurnard, gray gurnard,plaice,bass,Bullhuss,cod

Species 2012:coalie,doggie,codling,shore and 5bearded rockling,3bearded rockling,pouting,whiting,wrasse,bass,plaice,flounder,dab,smoothhound,hiss,tope,cod,tub and gray gurnard,Pollack

Species 2013:Double figure smoothy off the beach,doggie,gray gurnard,codling,goalie,flounder,plaice,whiting,tope. Double figure huss off the beach,dab, bass,pouting,silver eel.
