Some nice Ballans there - do you think the Lumi lead makes a difference?

it seems to do, i actually went to astronomical expense and got a fluid bed and luminous powder coat,
after a few seconds bouncing of the reefs it still chips off  , i guess the lead is so soft and deforms under it

Chipping is a common problem, I now obtain my luminous leads from Moonfleet Angling who seal there leads in a clear russber solution. Magic

Is the powder expensive? Is is necessary to have the Fluid bed yoke? I thought it would be possible to complete the process in a conventional oven. I'd say they'd be good for the likes of Ling.
