Mullet flies.......
Any one had some real results...and not bread type...blood worm? or green seaweed? or maggot? (not real maggots on foam).

Thanks lads...been out a few times and actually put flies on their heads and no takes...lol...not done yet though!
They ignored bread too...i think you have to give up all other fishing interests to catch mullet........or be in the right place at the right time... :wink:

When I used to live in Portstewart, we had great success using buzzers cast towards a pod of fish and left to waft around in the waves.
On the Bann estuary, mullet are targeted using Irish salmon shrimp flies, such as the yellow shrimp and curry's red. The flies are cast towards shrimp feeding mullet and stripped back quick- like bonefishing, almost.

A tiny zonker strip slightly stripped imatates a rag worm & can produce results.
