Cushendun Beach, Co. Antrim 29/04/12

#1 Post by DGP123 »

People:Me

Duration:4pm-7.30pm

Tide:H/T 6pm

Weather:Windy and Overcast

Bait:Rag/Mac

Rigs:Flappers

Results: Nuffin!!!

Report:
I wanted to fish Waterfoot Beach but when I got there it was just weed everywhere. I drove round to the harbour but that was packed so I drove up to Cushendun. I was thinking of fishing the rocks at Cushendall but it was blowing hard and probably not the safest choice.
I did not get a touch at Cushendun and the baits came back in just the same way as I cast them out!! A real shame but I kind of expected it after last week.
I wonder how the guys got on at the harbour..................

Drew, the wind wasnt that bad until just after high tide and then it really started blowing!!! Those strong North East winds are bad news.............

At least you got out! Cushendun fishes best after dark most of the time, daytime is pretty hit and miss.

I agree about fishing that beach at night but it was that or nothing. I wont be able to get out for a couple of weeks now so I just take my chances to get fishing when I can.
