People: Me and a few friends
Duration: 3 sessions of a few hrs each
Tide: Low water up
Weather: Very Mixed, scorcher on Sat though which just about made up for blanking!
Bait: Lug,peeler, frozen mack, Frozen razor
Rigs: flappers, fixed paternosters
Results: Few flatties, one of the lads got a small schoolie
Report:
Tried Trabeg the firsd day but no surf running. Just got a little flattie off the beach on a strip of mack. We fished trabeg the next day with lugworm on flapper rigs and also tried a single 4/o hook with lug for a bit. Big surf lots of sun and lots of surfers. I blanked (I blame the surfers!) but the others got a few flats and one schoolie. I fished Inch the next day for a couple of hours at low tide. Again big surf but messier water and rougher weather. Tried razorclam on a single 4/0 hook but nada. A little disapointing but theres always next time!
Thanks to all for the advice I got on Q@A Board last week. Hopefully it will be put to better use when I return!!

Re: Dingle Easter weekend
Thats a bummer. Has happened us before. We had everything planned, right down to the very last detail. Weather looked great and when we got there a cold front came in and killed the fishing. Was the end of April too. We ended up leaving early and coming home..! My mate got one small bass and saved a blank.

Re: Dingle Easter weekend
Believe it or not Eoghan I saw your post about that trip when i was reseaching for the trip! I think I remembered you saying that you felt you might have done better with bait than on the lures. I mainly fish with lures but had a go with bait this time. I think I'll try again though , maybe in October as I'd like to have another go at fishing the surf beaches for bass. really enjoyed the atmosphere of it. I think I may avoid surfers next time too!
Best of luck with your next trip
