we meet up for a wee throw at the thornies down at fahan, fishing was not great at all, but plenty of crack and banter as always
in the whole session i only got one bite, i lifted into it and landed a nice thornie of 5 1/2lb. when i was holding the ray in the water to recover, just about two feet out, my feet started to sink a bit into the sand, then it turned into a suckion 
my two feet felt like they were being sucked down, i ended up stuck fast and no way was i able to get free cathal and dilon had to grab hold of me and haul me out a short time later cathal landed one at 4 1/2lb. after that hooks were coming back striped by crabs. at the start of the session we had bother trying to hold bottom for the rip of the currant was to strong, i ended up useing 8oz's to get a grip, when it seamed to ease of i went back to 5oz.near the end of the session the wind got up and with the drissing rain blowing into us i packed up the gear and called it a day, me and tom headed for the cars, cathal and dilon stayed on for another while.
