Report:
Don't usually put up reports here but i enjoy reading others fortunes/misfortunes and have decided to start posting some myself.
Decided to head out on Saturday night for a brief session so hit the beach for some bait. Was delighted to find loads of small white rag when digging as i have never tried them before but they looked great for tipping baits off. Armed with sufficient fresh lug and rag we decided to hit Greystones.
We decided to check out the harbour first for a wee nosey and were surprised to see some guys with a very large BBQ or fire at the end of the harbour. Couldn't be arsed with the hassle so decided to relocate to the rocks to the right of the harbour for some piece and quiet. Everything was perfect- good bait, beautiful weather, nice wee rock mark...... The fishing though was far from perfect.........
To say the session was quiet was the understatment of the year. Fishing was very slow with only sporadic bites making an appearance. We ended up with a few whiting and one lost doggie at our feet. The tacle losses were minimal, which was a surprise considering it was fairly rough ground.
Interestingly the white rag did account for two fish.
No photos as im sure everyone is sick of the sight of whiting here on the east coast.
