Ullcatch Nominated Species Competition 2012

Ullcatch are kindly sponsoring a nominated species competition for 2012 beginning in April. There is a thread for each month. The thread will be unlocked just after midnight on the first of the month and will be locked again at noon on the 1st of the next month.

There are two nominated species for each month. What we are looking for are reports on either of the two species caught in Ireland , from boat or shore, during that month. Reports will be judged on quality of the report, quality of the fish caught, and quality of the photographs.

April - Shad / Turbot
May - Gilt head bream / plaice.
June - Stingray / Hounds.
July - Tope / Garfish.
August - Ray / Mullet.
September -Shark / Pollock.
October - Conger / Wrasse.
November - Bass / Flounder.
December - Cod / Dab

As an overall prize for the year, Bryan O Keeffe the owner and award winning chef of the Westend bar, restaurant and accommodation in Fenit Co Kerry is generously offering one night B&B and dinner for two in his award winning restaurant.
Ullcatch is also offering a days angling for the lucky winner and a friend in the Kerry region.
The prize will go to the best fish caught in the 2012 season.
