Doggies from the beach

#1 Post by towners »

I fish in waterford and next month there is a competition on tramore strand. 1st prize for longest flatfish and for longest round fish. As dogfish are long i was wondering how close in to shore they come or how far i would need to cast. My limit is about 150yards is this enough.

Unfortunately Dogfish are generally omitted from the longest fish pools. But if you can hit 150 with bait you will catch plenty!, try sandeels, seems to outfish mackeral for dogs down there.
