looking for links on fly fishing for flatfish

#1 Post by saving private brian »

this is something i have been interested in a long time after reading about it many months ago in a fishing magazine.im interested in buying a fly rod soon and a friend is gonna give me a few lessons on the swing of the rod.i found a mark back in west mayo which i think could be a real flat fish holding spot.in order to fish it i need to go out from the shore line a bit and fish it in my waders beacuse its very shallow at the start but drops off in a shelve type bank and on into deep water with sand and mud.i hope to put one rod out baited while i try with a fly

has anyone any links.if you have could you give them to me here

thanks brian

Try shrimp style flies. I've had decent luck with crazy charlies in the surf. I only got some small flounders and turbots, but it was good Craic.
