Kinsale bridge

#1 Post by xavier »

Wednesday night, from 9.30 till midnight, in the middle of the long bridge in kinsale. Two rods, one with double sand-eel, the other with lugworm. As I wrote already, this is my favourite place, especially in the night when there is less car-traffic. And the wyting is back!! I was NO minute without feeling them. Finally, I catched around 65 of them, but lots of small ones. Only about 20 had a nice seize, and 4 nice ones i took with me. Surprisingly, no bait on the sandeel, al on the worm. Later i changed the sandeel into piece of mackerel and squid, but very few .

For petekd and conger, if you want lots of fish, that's the place to go. You will not catch the big ones, but you wil enjoy it. Lug is the best bait and another tip: do NOT cast far, let your lead plus one, or two hooks, drop down and play with the bait, 1 meter up and down. And start 1 hour before dark
