sea trout line combo??

Hi,

just looking a bit of advice on which/what line set-up to us for sea trout, i'm currently using 20lb spiderwire braid with about 3ft of 15lb fluorocarbon tied directly to the lure. Is this too heavy??

bear in mind im fishing over fairly shallow rocky ground where tackle losses are frequent enough, most lures i use are in and around 20-30g and i need to put a bit of distance in the cast

any advice

I use 10 lb Power-Pro on clean sandy marks, and 20 lb Power Pro on marks like you describe, so I'd say you're in the ballpark with what you're using.
