East Cork Mark 25/02/2012

#1 Post by davidmav »

People: me and darol

Duration: 6pm-12am

Tide: HW around 8

Weather: Flat calm sea, no wind, mainly overcast

Bait: Lugworm, Mackerel, Sandeel, Squid

Rigs: Clip-Down & Flapper Rigs

Results:

Kicked off at about 6pm. Fish starting biting almost immediatly. Both of us were off the mark quickly some doggies landed. Coalfish were soon to follow. Fishing slacked off for a while over slack tide. About 9 o'clock the bites started to come thick and fast until the end of the session. We finished up at 12am and headed for the chipper.

Overall results:

Myself: 8-9 Dogfish
7 Coalfish
1 Whiting

Darol: 7-8 Dogfish
10-11 Coalfish
3 Pollack

Overall great night with Lug or Lug/Mack cocktail working the best.
