irish team for the worlds 2012 in greece

anyone wishing to make the irish team for the worlds , could they let there ifsa affiliated club know , so they can let there provincial councels know that they have members wishing to attend qualifiers etc , so we can get the ball rolling again if there is enough people wishing to be selected etc

just wondering but whats the general cost to attend the worlds as I know you get no aid other that the funds you raise?

last year I reckon I put in around €800 to €900 from my own pocket, thats not including spending money when we were over there.

what about using the 175g, 150g, 125g, 100g days as qualifiers?

all depends on how much intrest is shown this year , if it is one day or a few days , thats why you need to get your club to ask the questions at the ifsa meetingsc etc ,

club meeting at end of feb so will raise the issue there.

Last year IFSA said it had to be run all in the one day, as they send an official down for the day to adjudicate..
Fair play to Peter Flahive he came down last year on his own time too, (Cheers Peter) so i presume it will be the same again this year.. But im sure we can pick the day ourselves...

Fair play to Peter indeed Paddy.

I hope qually is the same as last year if we can get things in place. All in one day, limited casts etc etc - at end of the day that the way it is when you go there. You only get a couple of chances on each weight and not at your own leisure.

I only hope I can afford the entry if we and then I do get that far..

Plans are in the offing John watch this space I cant make it this year so wont taking part in the qualifiers but ill do all I can to help raise funds for the team, and we plan on making the bomber even bigger and better than last year.
