Duration:4 till 6.30

Tide:hw 5

Weather:cold bitter southeasterly

Bait:mac lug squid

Rigs:mini rigs

Results:codling, pollock, coalies, pout?, rockling, dab

Report:had a few hours to kill so got the telescopic rod and some mini rigs ready ,fished the harbour,got about 20 odd fish altogether with a 30cm codling being the best fish of the session ,it was cold the wind would have skinned you thank god for floatation suits

size 6 bait holder hooks thats mini to me and yes clipped down i,m a bit of a pefectionist when it comes to bait presentation

love the bait holders cos they are good and strong you dont want a fish bending your hooks out on the way up the wall

dave i did have a lump of an old white towel with me but it just didnt cut the mustard for a back drop

What's a size 6 hook?
No wait a minute - I remember now, I once used one with a thin sliver of mackerel, trying to catch small turbot, but all I got with it was a 4 lb bass!!!
