Why aren't my favourite lures on sale anymore ???

#1 Post by blowin »

Yellow coloured Shrimp Rig with a hook suitable for mackerel , pollack etc ( I think it was about size 1 ) . Haven't been able to find them anywhere for the past year or so -- just the pink or flourescent ones , or with mini hooks for herring or something .

And 7" Red & Black Firetail jelly worms are nearly as scarce . Veals used to do a good value pack of 50 but now only offer them in more expensive 10's . ( Berkley Power Worms https://www.veals.co.uk/acatalog/berkle ... -2424.html )

IMHO those 2 items will see you right for almost any sort of inshore boat fishing ( and off rocks too ) . Have googled everywhere from Ireland to China . HELP !!!!
Thankyouverymuch !

Magic . Many thanks for the links . Can't believe I couldn't find them myself but that's the way it seems to go
Still on the search for the yellow shrimp rigs --- I'll have a closer look at those sites .
After several years of experimenting with all sorts of set-ups and methods inshore around Sligo bay a buddy and I concluded that if you could only take 2 things then those would be the ones to give you the best chance of a reasonable mixed bag .
( Ok , and a few hooks , swivels , cans and so on .... )
Good luck.
