Digging For Sandeels

#1 Post by thirty »

Are there any signs visible in the sand that would tell me there are sandeels present?
Is it easy enough to dig them with a pitch fork?

sand eels.

the best way I have found is at the low water mark just use a filleting knife or something like and slash it around the loose sand if they are there they will pop up. you may have seen this before. I dont know a way of seeing signs I just have an idea where they are.

Good luck
