Cork Harbour Jan Light Line Comp

Cobh SAC is holding its Jan light line comp this Sun 22nd Jan. If you are interested please contact club secretary Mary Geary on 021-4812167 to book yourself in.

Entry is €40, so its great value. Its a fun comp, so we keep the rules as simple as possible. Scorecards are the same as for the National Fish-Offs. The only stipulation on light lines is that your mainline should be 15lb b.s or less. Shockleaders, rig bodies, and snoods, can be of heavier bs.

Fishing is from 9:30am to 2:30pm. Check in is at 8:45am at Kennedy Pier, Cobh with the boats leaving at 9am.

The comp before Xmas produced almost 1000 fish amongst 15 anglers (have a look at http://www.corkharbouranglinghub.blogspot.com) and were expecting similar fishing this Sunday. The cod have made a welcome return with good fish caught over last weekend on the harbour rock, no.6, and the dividing buoy. Here's a pic of club member Cian Ryan who had this 10.5lber on a soft plastic lure last weekend in the harbour. C'mon book in, ya know its good for you!!!
