Down Casting Association - Sunday 15th January

#1 Post by Austin »

Just a reminder that this Sunday (15th) is the first event of the year. Hope to see all members there to kick the year off in style and just to say that any newcomers are more than welcome to come along and have a go or pick up some good advice on casting technique and have a go on a proper casting court. Daycasters more than welcome as ever!

See you Sunday! 8)

About half 9 til 4ish I would say. Yeah do. Bring a rod and reel! Depending on wind direction etc we might be in the barley field behind the one we were in before, once I ok it with your dad.
The forecast is SE which would put us casting towards the house in the usual field which wouldn't be good.
See you there.

Got on all right with the FT, definately got more poke than the Bullet, could really feel the difference on the turn. Still messing about with hand spacings, drop length etc and a field day is not the best time to be doin that. Also I rung it on the stiff side of the spine, so I'm gonna re ring it on the soft side before I take it out for a bit of practice and see how that feels. It certainly fires the lead away at a hell of a rate, much faster than the bullet I would say.

However I LIKE it so far 8)
