Best Spinning Rod for Bass/Pollack

#1 Post by davidmav »

Hi,

I looking for some information as to what spinning rod would best suit plugging and float fishing for Bass and Pollack.

I would be matching the reel with a Shimamo Stella 4000.

Thanks and Kind Regards,
David

Well everyone has their own opinions, but i think for Value and Quality of the Grauvell Teklon Concept 802ML or 832M, You cant really go wrong, great rod and i bought one myself last year and i love it..

If you do a quick search here you will find lots of information on this  also keep your eye on the "fishing tackle for sale/wanted" you just missed out on a nice Shimano Technium 4000.

Hi guys,

Cheers for the info. I currently already own a Teklon however some anglers have suggested that these rods are not made for Pollack fishing. (My own Teklon broke during a fight with a Pollack)

Has anybody tried the Tenryu rods?

Thanks and Kind Regards,
David

There must have been a fracture/weak point in the rod blank. Rod snaped two rings down.

I was looking at the Red Dragon Express but now taking a look at the SuperMix Evo, seems like a better fit.

Nothing wrong with them at all...they are a great rod

I fished one all last season from the shore and boat. I hauled fish up to 8lb on it from the depths. Its a cracking rod. Some of the lads I fish with use them too...one uses it before his Supermix.....they all love them too.

Have a Rob Bar 270 Eveo and a Supermix 240. Both cracking rods but theres a bit more steel in the Rod Bar for the rougher stuff without loosing too much feeling. The supermix is just an awesome rod - can't rate it enough. I agree with the comments about the Grauvells. They are seriously worth the money.

Best rod for plugging and FLOAT fishing, would be something around 10-11 foot.
