Duration:21.00 till 1.00

Tide:hw 2 ish

Weather:blustery

Bait:crab

Rigs:clipped then pulleys

Results:5 cods couple coalis

Report:fished the harbour last night for a few hours started off useing clipped traces but after looseing a few fish to the snags i switched over to big hook pulleys see if i would be able to keep the fish over the snags it worked first cast with it i landed a nice plump codling 48cm steady enough stream of fish after that biggest of the night was a 54cm codling might try a different spot tonight see if there is any nice size whiteing on the move localy

Nice one man nice fish, I must try get down that way as I have never fished it before and it seems to be the hot spot every year

Nice one John good to see it was worth your while giving it a go. The whiting have been scarce for the last few years at da wall anyway, about 4 years ago there were massive whiting there it was great, we had them up to 3lbs and a few bigger, funny thing there was not a cod about when they were there.

cheers seanie na we packed up not long after you left lost a beauty on the last cast had it up to the top at the edge and was just about to lift it out and it just gave a splash of the tail a bit of a roll and was gone

it must have been foul hooked cause there was no way it would have threw a 6/0 pennel as easy as it did or else it was paul who jinxed me he was standing next to me telling me that i wasnt going to land it the whole time i was bringing it in and then he nearly collapsed laughing when the fish came off

OUCH!! ..

You know.. with a bit of bait elastic and a 6/0 pennel... ya just might be able to fit Paul on the hooks

he was very lucky he didnt end up going for a dip

but revenge will be sweet cant wait till he hooks into a nice fish
