Keeping lugworm fresh?

#1 Post by MackDublin »

A couple of questions:

I dig my lugworm on Sandymount strand. Are these all going to be 'yellow tail' lugworm or is it possible to dig the bigger 'black' lugworm and if so where abouts?

Also what is the best, most consistent way to keep them fresh for up to 3 days?

Hi Colm,

I've asked a very similar question previously, ye can see the responses here -

I do some digging in sandymount myself, there are "Blacks" to be dug but they are few and far between, the wetter the sand the better your chances, anywhere close to one of the streams at low water is best for them. Happy Hunting!!
