killiney beach / Dalky

#1 Post by myworldfishing »

Myself, my son and a friend:

Early morning to evening:

Rising:

ummm, Bad:

Lug, Mac:

:

1 crab:

Decided it was time to break the young fella in, and to try out the new setup that santy brought me so I grabbed a mate and off we set. We dug our own lug like we always do and headed up to killiney beach where we hoped we would get some shelter from the wind, but it was bad. We setup and fished the incomming tide but the wind was unreal. It was comming at us from all directions but the clincher was when we seen a twister on the water.

Its gave us the want to move, just before we decided to packup we seen a couple of dolphins swimming around so that forced our hand. We headed back in the direction of dublin and had a look at dalky, it was allot calmer then killiney beach so we decided to give that ago for a few hours....

We never even got a single bite, even a pin white would have been a welcomed sight. I stuck a mac head on the young fellas rig and let him fish for the crab inside the dock and that kept him happy....

We fished till 5 and the weather was getting worse so we decided to head home....

First blank all year, and last trip of the year :)

Was fishing there thursday myself, I take it you were with roger and others then?
We fished in front of the car park for less than two hours, plenty of fish nothing big though! Whiting, flounder, shore rockling
Didn't want to fish the rough like you lot, too early in the year to start loosing gear
