People:me

Duration:4 till 8 hw 8ish

Tide:risin

Weather:cracking 8) 10 degrees and dry

Bait:lug sandeel and razor

Rigs:pullys and 3 hook clipped

Results:one bass and lots of phiranas :lol:




Report:packed up work for the holidays at lunchtime, got home and no one home :D lug in fridge = exit stage left :wink: did a quick look at the sea going past wicklow and decided to have a pop at a bass with a nice little surf you never know? wasnt fishing more than twenty min when my in close rod got a slack liner ,not a big fish but not a whiting :lol: as soon as it got dark the whiting turned up in numbers out at distance sections of sandeel whipped onto size 2 hooks producing a full house every cast ,my belly started to grumble at 7 ,two lads arrived down and set up near me so i packed up and gave them my unused bait and headed for home with a quick stop for pizza enroute 8)
last session before christmas :?: :mrgreen:

Nice one Roger :wink: I haven't been getting anything on lug lately. Was a nice evening to be out alright and a great pre Christmas Bass,Happy Christmas :lol:

Nice, seems to be a few of em hanging about. Maybe the unusually warm weather this winter is helping. (Ok its not the bahamas but its not -12 with snow) :-)

Fair play Roger, its great to see people catching something other than a pin whiting. I ain't been out on this east coast now for 6+ weeks, I just can't cope with The whiting and small flounders. It's great to see bass showing up still, now you need get a big double figure to end the year

I was out yesterday for the bass down wexford way and the wind was terrible. the weed was unreal and the pull of the tide was just to much, I ended up with a nice bass for it tho. I didn't even know it was a bass cause off all the weed, thought it was a flounder with a big load off weed. Was a nice fat bass off about 3-4 lb.
