This fishing thing's getting beyond the joke, decided another session was on order tonight so went to McKees and got some Frozen.
Arrived at the venue for around 7.20pm and got set up, Half an hour to 40 minutes later and finally my first positive bite, a small whiting came up the beach with minimal effort, and that was the tone set for the night.
Over LW it was pretty quiet but once there was a bit of push on the tide I picked up most of the fish.
One thing about this venue is, at times, there's a lot of Sea Trout run around it, and at around 10pm, I got a good double knock followed by slack line. I was dealing with the other rod at the time and didn't manage to connect with the fish, But I'd assume it was either a good Coalie or a Seatrout judging by the ferocity of the bite.
Hung around longer than I'd intended, hoping and praying that bite wasn't a one off, but at 10.30 began the task of packing down... I'll be back to catch that fish that eluded me very soon...
