I was listening to an interestng piece on the radio about this today, the equipment that reccorded this is only 6 or 7 years at sea and they believe some much bigger waves have gone unreccorded, At one time the top of velentia lighthouse even had its glass broken by a wave :shock:

What about that surfer who was meant to have surfed a 75ft wave in Donegal last winter???

You would want a good grip lead to hold ground with those waves :D
