Sea anglers in Suffolk threatened by unknown local.

Anglers fishing around the Suffolk village of Orford Ness are being warned to be vigilant following a shocking message aimed at visiting fisherman.

A group of sea anglers returned to their vehicles after a fishing match at the picturesque beauty spot to find a note warning them that they would be ‘consumed by fire in a deadly dance with the devil for torturing God’s creatures’.

The 20 anglers involved, who were visiting form nearby Halesworth, were shocked by the note, which read:

“Orford welcomes birdwatchers, ramblers and animal lovers, people who torture God’s creatures with the instruments of Satan shall be consumed by fire in a deadly dance with the devil, Orford does not need people like you and your friends who kill and torture God’s creatures for ‘sport’ may the Lord have mercy on your blackened and charred souls.”

Organiser of the angling trip Phil White warned that it seemed some one was targeted anglers and their vehicles.

“We all had a good day, even though the fishing wasn’t great.

“We headed back to the car park at around 5pm and one of us had a nasty little note left on the windscreen. It was a bit of a shock,” said Phil. “We have since found out that this is not a one-off and a few anglers’ vehicles have been targeted in the same way recently.

“As all the fishing gear was removed from the car it seems someone may be watching out for the anglers arriving early in the morning to know what cars to target.”
Long time no sea.

Im not that well up on my religon but didnt Jesus do a bit of fishing himself. Sure he told peter where to drop the nets according to the bible. Every area in the world has one nutjob we all know one, but in our area we are lucky enough to have four or five :)
The finest gift you can give a fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"
