6lb cod courtown harbour

People: henry

Duration:6hrs

Tide:rising

Weather: bit breezy AND Wet

Bait:lug ,peeler, razor, sand eel.

Rigs: pennel, puley rig.

Results:4 cod

JOE , in tackle shop in courtown put me on to this spot , it offical the cod are here . my best night fishing so far this year. ROLL ON NEXT WEEKEND :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

2013 Sea Species:- Bass, Flounder, 5 Beard Rockling, Shore Rockling, Whiting, red gurnard, grey gurnard, Pollack, coley, mackerel, sea trout, cant remember cos I didn't update at the time.....
2012 Sea species:- Pollack, Coley, Mackerel, Cod, Bass, Sea Trout, Haddock, Plaice, Dab, Flounder, Red Gurnard, Grey Gurnard, Pouting, Whiting, Corkwing Wrasse, Ballan Wrasse, Lesser Spotted Dogfish, Brown Trout caught on beach.
2011 Sea species:- codling, L.S. dogfish, coley, whiting, pollack(4lb 3oz), sea trout, shore conger eel (15lb), ballan wrasse, grey gurnard, plaice, dab (and lobster).

brought two young(ish) lads down to one of the heads finest marks during sept and they said never again? i dunno i,m old , but think nothing of a two mile hike and a little bit of mountainering with two stone of gear for a few fish :lol: younglads hu! :roll: its all xbox and internet virtual bravery these days, when your sliding down bray head on your ass with a 50 foot drop a few feet away they arnt to nimble :mrgreen:

Well the pics say it all lets hope they keep heading up the east coast..... will save on the petrol bill but guess me and the m8s head down this week....
Species 2012: Flounder, Whiting, Dublin Bay Codling, Coalie, 3 Beard Rockling, Shore Rockling, Bass, Dogfish, 5.2lb Starry Smoothhound (PB), Twaite Shad, Thornback Ray 5.8lbs (PB), LSD, Pollock, Ballan Wrasse, Cork Wing Wrasse, 43cm Flounder (PB)

Species 2013: Coalie, East Coast Codling, Smoothounds, And hopefully a back opp to get back fishing soon...
