A little beach west off Wales*

People:10 creep sparkey myself miami chris84 and others

Duration:3-11.45pm

Tide:various

Weather:wind wind with extra sand

Bait:lug mack squid mussel fish juice

Rigs:1 hooks 2 hooks flappers and clipped
Results:Flounder Whiting Dogs Dabs


Report:A group of like minded lunatics some members of this forum as well as Meet Up went to a nice beach with the intention of catching a few fish and watching creep blank

Sadly the weather gave us a bashing with sand blasting that would be perfect in a marble company.

It felt ok at the start and a few Whiting Dab and a nice Flounder hit the beach (The flounder falling to creep amazingly)

Some of the anglers were novices but with there hard work,open minds and sheer determination they all landed fish.

I still think we had an impostor in our midst as creep landed fish from his 1st cast till his last ,he was casting his second rod out straight after reeling in his first so i might watch that a bit closer in the future :D

We decided on safety grounds to move to another spot just east of the U.S.A* and we caught a few doggies with chris catching the pregnant females,some of us catching females and creep catching the males (Makes you wonder) :o

All in all it was a great trip and well done to all for sticking it out in very tough conditions.






*I would love to name the beach but the hammering i took for naming a well known place and keeping another quiet all my reports will be a little bit vague on the location. :x

Think i lost a layer of skin on the beach,and the journey home was exciting with gale force winds and rain so heavy i had to pull over twice as my wipers didn't go fast enough.
2011 list-whiting ,Dab ,Flounder ,5 Bearded rockling ,Thorn back ray ,Codling ,Dogfish.

well done to all sorry i could not make it should have went and for got the football we were beaten 9-2 and well done kev on the good fishing it makes a big change from the week b4 but you did get back to normal on sunday with a blank :oops: :oops:

Good report Paul.... yea that was a nice beach!! some serious gale force winds blowing after it got dark reels had strip down and a good spray of WD 40 to remove the sand blasting they got.... and good to meet all the novices anglers and good that nobody blanked.

That wind was something else, and lads watch out cause Chris is a fine angler ;) wait till you see the photos i'll put them up later after me flounder ...
@ Tightlines... Mornington (Laytown side) is one of the hardest beaches to fish, I've been out there in all conditions states of tides, up and down as far as Bettystown, all the times I've been there I always always expect to blank and havent been dissappointed so far!What annoys me is why? Why should a beach be a desert I put seriously fresh baits out there and after an hour soak they came back untouched....not even crabbed

At Sparkey next time I get a youtube vid of me catch a fish but then again ya probably will say I have a diver in the water putting fish on my hooks!! :roll:

@ John West... I honestly didnt know the sexual preference of the flounder :D :D but he swung to the left :D :D :D

@Al and Jordan and corbyeire spot on you guys get a star :D :D
