1st report so here goes
Decided to stay close to home after a couple of quite spells in kilcoole. started off quiet until a bird flew by and caught 1 of the lines and pulled the tri-pod over, result- Marks reel broke and my line snapped
. got Mark fishing again with a cheap Lidl reel that I'd thrown in the bag. 5 minutes later a small flock of swallows flew by and nearly caused the same result managed to grab the stand this time. Anyway drama over, quiet for the next hour until darkness fell then the bites started and kept us busy for the next couple off hours.At times the bait was only in the water and the rods were busy again.we both lost a few on the reel in but still happy to see some sort of action on the rods. All fairly small biggest about 20cm all went back to swim on their merry way
