Hogs head Co Kerry
Anyone know anything about this well known mark near ballinskelligs? i fished there a few times and done ok but your updated shore mark section suggests species that I havent encountered , wondered whether I am in the right place or not ???

Fished it a few times myself over the summer. Had some ok pollock fishing off it but that was the lot. With a few hardbacks you should get some wrasse. Macks were thin on the ground this year whenever I fished the area. What a venue though. BTW, I had better results on sandeel, spinning and float fishing.

I never heard of anyone getting washe doff here ??? Culloo on valentia is known to be like that . I have fished on the inside of the bay onto sandy bottom near to the cottages and on the atlantic side near the cottages at the end of teh road as well. I know that you can walk further out and i guess its here i am wondering about ? codling dabs etc would suggest sand or muddy bottom ???
