bray in the rain and wind

#1 Post by Stephen8wood »

People: me

Duration: 8.30 - 10pm

Tide:loads and getting bigger

Weather: Rain going sideways over my shoulders

Bait: drowned lug. rainy squid and mac

Rigs: 3 hook 2 up one down and a single running ledger

Results: Survived

I thought it would be a nice night. How wrong I was. The crabs got all of the bait, they even polished the hooks before signalling for more food by giving a gentle pull on the line. The fish are elsewhere. Two lads arrived shortly before I left and they may have caught something but I'd had enough by then. I nearly reversed the car into the harbour out the way out. What fun that would have been! Sorry, I didn't take any pictures of the sodden bait :(

Report:
List 2010. fish

List 2011: less fish

2012: less fish again,

2013: even less fish.

bray in the rain and wind

#4 Post by MBuckley87 »

I am from Bray fish out there every Saturday night with the lil one between us a few weeks ago pulled out 16 whiting and 1 very very nice sized plaice. We fish off the right wall never have any luck off the rails on the left. Last Saturday she only managed a 5 beard rockling but any fish is a good night too us. If your heading out there again give us a shout would appreciate abit of help/advice.
