True. But at least he killed it for the right reason - to get a dinner out of it, rather than getting his name on a pointless piece of paper.

Anyhoo, let's not revisit the C&R vs C&K debate.

Must of been 2 hungry lads to polish that one off, that would feed me, the wife and kid for a few days. :roll: I'm just wondering if that bass's parents are holidaying around the louth coast at the minute...

Alright Tommy how's tricks? Hope your keeping well. Have to say the Sun Newspaper has a worse effect on me then the story it carries. Thankfully I take anything they say with a pinch of salt;)

getting out abit. What a stupid story and pic. The Sun would have great craic around wexford and waterford. 40lbers down there :)

Anyone want to guess a weight, Im thinking 12lb max. 20 my hoop.

edit--it is a cracker no doubt but not near 20.
2013 Sea Species:- Bass, Flounder, 5 Beard Rockling, Shore Rockling, Whiting, red gurnard, grey gurnard, Pollack, coley, mackerel, sea trout, cant remember cos I didn't update at the time.....
2012 Sea species:- Pollack, Coley, Mackerel, Cod, Bass, Sea Trout, Haddock, Plaice, Dab, Flounder, Red Gurnard, Grey Gurnard, Pouting, Whiting, Corkwing Wrasse, Ballan Wrasse, Lesser Spotted Dogfish, Brown Trout caught on beach.
2011 Sea species:- codling, L.S. dogfish, coley, whiting, pollack(4lb 3oz), sea trout, shore conger eel (15lb), ballan wrasse, grey gurnard, plaice, dab (and lobster).

Type British record bass in to yahoo search and see the size of that puppy :shock:
It`ll give a better idea to the size of this one :wink:

if yous look back at the report last week of the lads 12lb 9oz bass on here it looks bigger than the 1 your man is holding

I dont know what the problem is its nothing like the 6' bass I heard that was pulled in last year at Greystones (i kid you not a fella actually told me that, I had the sorest ribs ever from laughing!!) a 6' bass would weigh in about 131 lb 3 oz :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: something that size would have its own bus pass!!!
