Lure rods - here we go yet again recommendations please ?

At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

Lure rods - here we go yet again recommendations please ?

#1 Post by flynnboy »

Unbelievably my rod broke again today ! This is the 3rd M.Ladle 10/10 Pro I've broken in 2 seasons. I give up !

1st time it was the butt, last two times the tip. I'm not getting another. Veals have agreed to send the remains to Daiwa and try and get me a refund, so I'm looking for another rod for lure fishing again.

It's a shame because there are features of the rod I really like and I want to repeat them in the next rod I buy. I want a rod rated 10 - 50 gms (max) not less than 10' with a handle that can extend up to my elbow, and of course light.

I'd appreciate any input/recommendations.

Thanks

The Teklon Concept Spin 1002m 15-60gm and its 10stg cheaper than the M.Ladle. The Concept 8ft is on this forum for €100 i would have taken it myself but i only got a Bushwacker last week. I have the Mike Ladle surespin MK11 never had any trouble with it.

I have a Daiwa Regal Spin 11ft rated 20-60g for 8 years and its a great rod. I've landed pike up to 13lbs on it, it has a lovely action, is light in the hand and is very affordable! It also comes in a 10ft. http://www.henrystackleshop.com/product ... cts_id=282

Thanks for all of the recommendations. After a lot of consideration I had decided to get a custom build, but then later again decide I'm getting a Tenryu Ultimate One.

Thanks again
