was fishing there last saturday morning from about 7 am to 11.30am, have never seen a shoal of mackeral as big, the sea looked like it was boiling there was so much life in the water, they were every where from about 1 meter out to 100 meters out.

I remember a few years ago when that would happen nearly every second day in the summer , but the fish are getting so scarce ud be lucky to see that

saw that a coulpe of weeks ago at the flat rocks. Hundreds of mackeral jumping at the surface for the sprats. I dont know if there is a big shortage of mackeral (Waterford area anyway). During the summer every time we fished for them we caught as many as we wanted very quickly
