There's so many of the damn things!

Would someone recommend a resonably priced rod & reel.

I'm a beginner, will not get the chance to fish too often :( and don't want to get ripped off, oh and casting from the beach

Plenty good enough to begin with. If you are new to casting, might be better with the fixed spool reel.
