lure fishing around the north antrim coast

hello im fairly new to sea fishing and have never fished with lures before, i was wondering what kind of lures fish well around the dunseverick/portbraddon/balintoy area? im looking to catch pollock/mackrell or pretty much anything else!
can anyone give me a few tips on lure fishing?
started fishing september 2011- species so far
doggie, plaice, dab, pollock, coalie, conger, mackrell and a lobster!

All lures work well. People have their on preferences and they range from rubber worms to metal spinners to surface poppers. The areas you list have been fish out past two years and it didn't help with the posts I put up of the fish myself and my daughter caught soi have now moved location because of the poor results this year off my old mark.
