Me 2 mates and a lot of bait

Malinbeg CO. Donegal

Time- all morning from 5 am to 6 pm

Rige- flatfish beaded rigs

Results- flounder and plaice

Set off on saturday afternoon 13th august about 4.00 pm for the 5 hour drive down from ballymena!! after numerous unexpected toilet & food stops as i though it was a great idea to bring my old friend mr light (first name coors!!!). We got to malinbeg around 10,00 at night. stayed in the locl hostel and the plan was to go straight to bed not knowing the donegal culture. after a rake more beer and craic with all nationalities of people staying in the hostel we went to bed about 2.00 and then up at 4 again :? :? :) down the 200 steps to the beach with all heavy beach gear. my friend on his first cast took the first fish of the day a nice 2lb flounder!! the flatt fish we constant throughout the day to include stacks of flounder and a plaice. we seen a spot where a flatfish had been lying and judging on the size of the burrow it must have been about 4 1/2 lb!! in total there was about 60-70 fish laned between us an average weight of 3/4lb. awsome days fishing. felt like a celeb with the amount of images taken of us by tourists. we are even in a painting..... Sorry dont know how to get images off my phone. when i do i will upload. I was bringing in a nice flattie and someting took a bite offf it. will upload th image.
