People:me and a mate

Duration:5 hours

Tide:rising, turning

Weather:blowy, overcast

Bait:rag and sand eel

Rigs:2 hook flappers

Results: big fat 0






Report:not much to report, fished near the rocks on the beach and didnt get a thing!!!
2010 :26lb 4oz carp (lake record) ballywillan lough fishery

hard luck man :cry: . the last time we fished there on big tides we fished from the rocks up the first flight of steps and got tortured by hoards of wee whiting :shock: . those wee things are suicidal, impailing themselves onto 1/0 hooks not much bigger than themselves :lol: :lol: but we did get a few decent flats. mabey next time man :D

no pics, there was no good sunset or anything

as for the wee flatties, they just dont appeal to me. they are more a hindrance than anything, but i dont mind putting in the blank hours for i know it just takes a knock on the rod and i have what i want. . .i guess thats bass fishing lol

lol when you've caught a 26lb carp i doubt the small flats gice you any thrill.

If you want a thrill try catching a 25lb carp on a fly rod!
