Killard Point 10thAugust

#1 Post by pobrien »

People: Kevin and myself

Duration:2 hours 7.30 - 9. 30pm

Tide:1 hour either side of full

Weather:Overcast and calm

Bait:Wedges toby's Sprats

Rigs:

Results:2 very small pollack

Report: Very disappointing - its been a while since I fished Killard Point and in the past such conditions would have guaranteed good pollack, coalfish and mackeral.
Entries now open for the Henry's Tackle Shop All Ireland Shore Smooth Hound Championships on July 18h hosted by Sea Angling Ireland SAC

hi man. i gave up on that mark 2 years ago. it's just got progressivly worse over the years. only a few years back pollock to 4lb were the norm for that spot. but i think a local fella got a licence to commercially fish for pollack 2 years back and hammered the area from there all the way round to ardglass. it's never fished the same since   . i don't even bother with it now as it's not worth the trek and standing on those rocks kills your feet after a 6 hour session
