Report:
Started at 8 evening, was very quiet, only a few lads out, plenty of place around us.
Had 2 rods, 1 for distance, targeted my first proper smoothy, second close to shore with lug and rag as bait.
Long time nothing, just enjoyed the calm weather and busy to replace the bait (not even a small bite)
as bait was gone after a few minutes. Then the first whiting, so about 5 cm as usual. Few minutes later my first proper smoothy, so around 10PM, nice dogfish size.
Misu cathed the next very nice flounder (sorry, no pic) i was very happy about it, cose it was his first ever fishing trip in Ireland and so he is very exited for the next trip

Then around 11:30PM alarm bels!! Hooked a nice fish, thought its a smoothy, as it takes a whole peeler from a nice distance. Pulled nearly all the line from the reel, honestly i toke time, as is was not sure about the shock leaders node. Finally after 10 mins a nice, my biggest smoothy ever was on the shore

Thanks for my buddy john, Greystones Gotcha angling Shop for the tip, as originally i wanted to go somewhere else, but he told me to go there this evening.
Can just recommend his store, perfect equipments, huge sortiment, 7 days open a week, always fantastics rag on stock

In overall it was a beautiful evening, for me 2 whiting (together 10cm

For my friend a nice flounder and a smoothie puppy with 20cm

cheers,
