Report:
A bit late with this report but here goes anyway. Went down to fish Ballyreen in Clare last saturday week, the 3rd of Sept. As this spot is used for competitions and is numbered, I can tell ye exactly where I was, at numbers 1 & 2. Not knowing much about this spot I didnt know quite what to expect but very quickly learned that it is very rough ground. We got a pouting, a conger, a pollock (under a lb) and a couple of lsds before a load of lads turned up to fish a competition. After pushing on up the coast a bit we fished another mark but just got dogfish. Dont think I will be back in a hurry but if i do I'll try the higher numbers. After that experience, decided to tackle familiar territory the next saturday near the Killary. Report in boat reports
