People:me and dave

Duration:8till 11.30

Tide:rising

Weather:none

Bait:rag lug sandeel crab razor

Rigs:pully and 3 hook cascade

Results:about 10 whiting,6 dogs, 2 flounder ,1 mac and two codling




Report:lovely night to be out with a nice westerly breeze to make casting easey 8) all baits took fish ,codling took crab rag cocktail or lug razor cocktails both took the 5/0 hook right down the gut and where quickly dispatched for sun lunch :cry:
their was a comp futher up the beach anyone fish it?

Your wise man for not going south last night rodger ,everything looked perfect till we put our lines in
the water :roll: the weed was terrible ,john had 3 casts and lost 3 sets of gear so we packed up and
headed back up to try a e/coast beach, but all we ended up doind after four and half hours driving was going home
we were knackered :cry: :cry: anyway fair play to you for getting a couple of codling for the dindins 8)

nice few spesies there, well done
Spesies 2012/ flounder, turbot, colie, whiting,thornback ray, dogfish, pollack, ballan wrasse, corcwing wrasse, dab, cod, sea trout, mackerel, smooth hound

I was there myself yesterday morning and fished the high tide. Will post report.
What size were the Whiting?

holey god mitch that was a long haul to haul weed :lol: most annoying when that happens !!! :evil:

hi gillaroo long time no parley :wink: i,m grand just back from work :roll: its either a feast or a feckin famine!!!bit like the fishing at the moment!!!!!!(biggest whiting was about 18 cm)

i set up my gear down on the beach at the mens swimming spot as it was full to the brim with sand instead of water , a load of teenagers sat down behind me to drink their can of carlesberg each after 5 min of bla bla bla :roll: i headed futher up the beach, i go fishing to get away from teenagers !!!!!!!!!baaa humbug ! :mrgreen: kinda glad i did !

Well done on the codling rodge!!! As I passed greystones exit on the n11 yesterday evening, I thought to myself 'will I just stop off here instead?' but decided against it and went further afield - wish I hadn't! Will post up report later........

Nice fishing roger well now we know that the codling are around.Teenagers eh!!!!!!!!

Species 2013: Coalie, East Coast Codling, Smoothounds, And hopefully a back opp to get back fishing soon...

well done on the nice nice to see them :D . did you fish behind the dart station in greystones or was it behind the golf course.
I fished behind the golf course and found it nothing but hardship :evil:

Nice brace of codling, used to get loads that size in the good old days down there.
