Report:got a text from declan the other day to see if i was up for a session.my fishing this year has being quiet so i quickly agreed to meet up.it was my first time to meet declan and was a pleasure to do so.john tagged along and terence could not make it due to work commitments.so myself and john had set up before dec had arrived.very slow at the start but the odd fish was coming in.john was the first with a nice size whiting.then a pollock or two came along,with plenty of dogs,declan to the right had the same with a few flounders aswell.he also picked up a small huss along the way.it wasnt the best nite weather wise as the downpours were pretty common.there was a nice little surf at the start but =eased on the filling tide.at around 02.00am i saw joh standing with his headlight pointing towards the beach and i knew he had something.i ran over to find he had a nice wee schoolie.john is only starting off in this beachfishing game so we were all thrilled for him to land his first bass,we hoped for a few more but wasnt to be,the last cast declan had a small rockling on his line.we were all tired at this stage and agreed to hit the road.great nite with plenty of species.my camera failed due to batt problems but got a few wee pics.great to meet declan and we will meet again soon.
oh by the way john you left your phone in me van .dont loose any sleep man:mrgreen:

Nice going Brain and Co.
Good to hear a few fish were around and especially the Mayo Bass - Bonus.
The Bass sure are allusive this year, had a session for them a few weeks back but no joy...
